My Favorite Instagram Shots of 2012

27 Dec

Helloooooo from the land of limited technology! I’ve been such a good kid this week and have pretty much stayed away from most of my online vices. However, I’m giving myself a ‘hop online free card’ so that I can share my favorite Instagram shots of the year.

So there you go, a quick little posty post with my favorite Instagram shots. I had to narrow it to just Instagram, otherwise I’d have two dozen favorites.

I hope you are all having an incredible end-of-the-year holiday season and will return to my regular blogging schedule in the new year!

Photo a Day Challenge for August: Week Five

1 Sep

It’s official — I stuck with the Photo a Day challenge for August for the entire month!

The challenge was fun, but definitely got a bit tedious by the end of the month. I will not be doing the challenge for September, but might do one for November or December since I’m kind of in love with the holiday season.

If you missed it, here are the pictures from week one, week two, week three and week four.

Here are the photos from the fifth and final week:

Day 27: “tap” – yes, I was a creeper in the ladies bathroom taking a photo of the sinks. I love the way the photo turned out, but there is no denying that the ‘click’ noise of my camera was icky in a public bathroom!

Day 28: “clock” – I pass this clock every day on my way into work. Usually I’m late when I’m passing it, including this day.

Day 29: “down” – Kind of self explanatory. Shot this photo from our 2nd floor down to our 1st floor.

Day 30: “card” – I keep this thank you card on my work bulletin board to remind me that hard work is actually appreciated.

Day 31: “hidden” – this is a photo of the view from my parent’s house. The fog made everything look all cool and spooky and there were deer darting in and out of the fog, hidden unless you were looking for them.

Thank you to everyone who played along on twitter, instagram and here! You can also view everyone’s challenge photos by using #photoadayaug.

Photo a Day Challenge for August: Week Four

26 Aug

Okay, it’s my fourth week of completing the Photo a Day challenge for August and I have to admit, it’s getting a little tedious.

I was considering doing the challenge for September because I enjoy having a theme that I need to shoot for the day, I just feel like it’s getting a little boring to have a weekly blog post showing my photos. So, if you wouldn’t mind leaving a comment and letting me know whether you enjoy these photo posts or if you’re so over them, I’d appreciate it!

If you missed it, here are the pictures from week one, week two and week three.

Here’s week four:

Day 19: “hole” – I love this colander from World Market. It makes me happy!

Day 20: “today” – my work calendar for the month showing the 20th.

Day 21: “cool” – Cotton Monster and I both love the cool weather forecast for this week. Yay Autumn!

Day 22: “home” – Long, long day at work… getting home late.

Day 23: “pair” – I wore this pair of my grandmother’s earrings at my wedding. She’s such a hottie!

Day 24: “path” the pathway up to my front door.

Day 25: “fresh” – I’m totally in love with this hand soap and walk around the house dorkily sniffing my hands. Yum, honeysuckle!

Day 26: “dream” – my little man snuggle up in dream world.

If you’d like to play along, here are the rules. You can also follow me on twitter at @joulesdellinger (and I’ll follow you back!) and on instagram at pocketfulofjoules. You can also view everyone’s challenge photos by using #photoadayaug

Don’t forget to leave me a quick comment with your thoughts on whether I should continue to post these on a weekly basis. Have a happy Sunday!

Photo a Day Challenge for August: Week Three

18 Aug

I did it, I did it! I passed the halfway mark for the August Photo a Day challenge. That’s almost as awesome as completing the whole challenge, right?

No? Oh, well I totally intend to finish this thing out. I’ve been trucking along and haven’t missed a day yet, so that kind of rocks. Of course, now that I’ve put that in writing I’m obviously going to flake out for the next week…

If you missed it, here are the pictures from week one and week two.

Here’s week three:

Day 11: “purple” – Oooh, pretty purple flowers on a tree outside our house in Ocean City. Okay, they’re kind of pink…but it’s close enough!

Day 12: “spoon” – While on vacation, Jack ended up being the little spoon to my big spoon every morning. Bliss!

Day 13: “simple” – the simple pleasure of taking my 6 month old to the beach for the very first time.

Day 14: “arrow” – A huge storm came in just as we unpacked the car and started the walk onto the beach. We trudged back to the car and waited for the rain to stop, which is when I found these arrows.

Day 15: “ready” – while waiting for our Sonic order, Jack practiced driving my truck. Ready to drive yet? I hope not. However, I was ready for my tater tots and ocean water soda!

Day 16: “food” – Rushing around all day means I had a quick stop at Burger King for lunch. Potter waited patiently to see if he’d get any of my fries.

Day 17: “faces” – Okay, it makes me pretty much indecently happy when people think I’m much younger than I am. In fact, I got carded this week while my 22 year old brother did not. AWESOMESAUCE!

Day 18: “inside” – every day when I make the bed I hear a ruckus as soon as I leave the room. Potter worms his body between the covers and the pillows so that he can sandwich himself inside our bed and take a nap.

Since I was out of town and didn’t do a full post last week, I’m adding in two super awesome bonus pictures:

Bonus picture #1: While waiting in Cracker Barrel Jack tried on this cute sock monkey hat and actually smiled for a picture. Obviously I’m a bit biased, but who WOULDN’T want to pinch these cheeks?!

Bonus picture #2: This is my brother, Jason. He’s handsome and funny and may have a random featureless head growing out of his neck.
