One of my goals for 2014 is to use my camera more and my iPhone camera less. I’ve done pretty well over the past 10 months, but it’s still SO easy to just grab my ever-present phone to snap a quick picture. And then put it up on Instagram with a filter, because THAT’s what we do, right?!
This past weekend it was gorgeous outside, so Jack and I decided to take a walk around the neighborhood. On an impulse, I hung my camera around my neck and I’m really glad I did.
I wanted to share with you some of my favorites. So next time someone says how awful the terrible 2’s are, tell them to shove it up their butt. My 2 1/2 year old is NOT terrible. He’s awesome.
We usually do a family photo shoot every year, but this year we skipped it. Not enough time. Not enough money. You know how it goes.
I need to do THIS more often though, just capture normal life. Instead of trying to style us, plaster Jack’s crazy hair down, or pick the ‘perfect’ family photo shoot accessory… just go with it.
Do you chase your kids around for impromptu photo shoots? Do you find that ALL of your pictures are taken by your phone?
Good for you on telling people to shove it up their butt! I’ve always believed it’s terrific twos!
Enjoy!
I love it — the TERRIFIC twos!
Forget the family photo shoot, just use the picture of Jack in front of the hay bales for Christmas cards.
It’s so male-modely – it’s amazing.
Thanks Diana – I LOVE that picture! He’s like a little miniature cowboy… 😉
I love REAL photos… some posed ones are great, but I love when people capture real life. Jack is adorable, and those sneakers! Still loving them on his cute little feet 😀
Thanks Jessy. I’m in love with his baby Chucks and I wish I would have bought some ages ago!
The matching shoes kill me! Adorable!
