It’s time for my monthly wrap up where I show you the outfits I wore throughout the month. My reasoning behind doing the wrap up is that whenever I check out other bloggers wrap ups, I’m always inspired by the different ways they style the same items over and over again. So, hopefully I can help someone else out of a wardrobe rut!
I typically work from home two days a week (Monday and Friday), so each week will usually only have three work outfits. I did throw in a few casual weekend outfits too, just for funsies. October was most likely our last warm month in Maryland before the winter, so I made sure to do a last-wear of many of my summary dresses before I pack them away.
Here are all my October looks:
I put little hearts next to my most popular outfits according to my Instagram friends. I appreciate all the love!
The Winners
I wore a bunch of my favorites this month that I would add to my ‘winners’ list. I love the color scheme and comfort level of row 1, outfit 2. The outfit in row 2, outfit 2 is also one of my absolute favorites. I just feel so put-together whenever I wear it. Row 3, outfit 2 is basically shouting FALL at you with that adorable (and cheap) skirt that I got on sale from Old Navy last year. I also love both of the new dresses from row 4. When it comes to casual outfits, that thrifted striped sweater and Trunk Club jeans on the outfit in row 5 will be on repeat all fall/winter long!
The Losers
The shoes I’m wearing in row 1, outfit 2 are SO CUTE but oh-my-gosh are they uncomfortable for my poor feet. I don’t know if it’s the height of the wedge heel or what, but within an hour of putting them on I want to throw them out the window. I decided that they needed to leave my closet, so I gifted them to one of my girlfriends who is much better at walking in heels!
New in Rotation for October:
Floral blouse from TJ Maxx – row 1, outfit 1
Maggy London dress (shared in this post) – row 4, outfit 1
Betsy Johnson dress (shared in this post) – row 4, outfit 3
Striped Loft sweater (thrifted in this post) – row 5, outfit 1
I had a few new purchases this month with my Nordstrom Rack clearance section and thrifted scores, but that was about it. I’ve actually been keeping clear of most stores since I was trying to get in a last wear of summer stuff before moving on to fall. However, in November I have some fun subscription box reviews coming up, so I might splurge on a couple more new items!
