I just received my Spring Box from FabFitFun and I think they really knocked it out of the park. I’ve let most of my subscription boxes go, and at this point only have Birchbox and FabFitFun… but I don’t regret cutting back a bit when they are full of such wonderful surprises!
Before we get into what was in my spring box, here’s a quick overview of FabFitFun:
- Boxes come on a quarterly basis and cost $49.99 each. If you want to try them out, here is a special $10 off link for you to use on your first box.
- If you want to check out my previous boxes, you can find them here: Summer 2016 Reveal, Spring 2016 Reveal, Fall 2015 Reveal, Summer 2015 Reveal and Fall 2016 Reveal.
A Look Inside my Spring 2017 FabFitFun Box:
First off, how pretty is the actual box?! I’m planning to keep this one and use it for something. I’m not quite sure what though… any ideas?
Here’s what is inside:
Briogeo Rosarco Milk Reparative leave-in conditioning spray, $20
This ultra-lightweight spray is fortified with a unique blend of rosehip, argan and coconut oils to improve hair’s softness strength and moisture levels, while acting as a barrier against heat. I have long, color-treated hair, so I basically use some sort of detangler/protecting spray or oil each time I wash my hair. The one doesn’t do so well as a detangler, but it does smell very nice. I’ll use it more as a heat protector before I blow dry.
Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion Age Defying Exfoliator, $79
I was really excited to receive this exfoliator in my box. The formula contains aluminum oxide crystals, lactic acid , and smoothing botanicals to polish away dead cells and leave you with bright, smooth, healthy-looking skin. I love the way that this feels when you rub it into your skin and it also has a really nice lemony scent. This is such a great luxury item to include!
Gypsy 05 Roundie, $50
I was really excited about this roundie and it doesn’t disappoint at all in person. It’s a large round cotton blanket that has a ton of uses – you can take it to the beach (which I will), wear it as a sarong (I’ll do that too), hang it on a wall as décor, use it for a picnic blanket and so much more. I love the design that I received and I can’t wait to throw it in my beach bag to use this summer! You can find my exact roundie on the Gypsy05 website here.
Milly Zip Pouch, $45
I received the “Slay All Day” pouch in my box, but there were a few options including “Resting Beach Face”, “Haute Mess” and “Beach Please”. I would have preferred one of the other bags, so I went ahead and traded this one on the FabFitFun trading Facebook page.
Karuna Hydrating+ Face Mask, $28
I love a good face mask and I’m glad that this super hydrating version was included in the box. It is specifically for dry, dull, dehydrated skin and is supposed to improve hydration 40% after just one use. The box contains 4 individually wrapped masks and you are supposed to use them once a week.
RealHer Lip Kit, $48
This lip kit is made from natural ingredients and includes a liquid lipstick, plumping lip gloss and lip liner. Out of the entire box, this was the only item I wasn’t really excited about since I typically stick with chapstick and one particular kind of lip color. I’m planning to trade this one on the FabFitFun trading boards too and will hopefully end up with something I’ll use much more!
Deborah Lippman Nail Polish Set, $19
This set of two nail polishes are pretty pastel shades for spring. I’m not sure if I’ll use this one myself or add it to my ‘give away to my sister’s pile.’ I have so many nail polishes that I barely use and tend to stick more with orange-red shades.
Emerald DUV “Joshua Tree” Cage Bracelet, $80
For the first time, FabFitFun let monthly subscribers choose between two jewelry items and pick either this bracelet, or a set of earrings/ear crawlers. I basically never change my earrings, so I was happy to be able to choose the bracelet. The cage bracelet was inspired by the vibrant and distinctive nature of the West Coast and was handcrafted. I absolutely love its simple design and will definitely wear it both alone and stacked with some of my leather wrap bracelets. This is one of my favorite items in the box… it’s something I totally love but never would have picked out for myself.
Bonus Sponsored Items
Bonus items aren’t counted towards the value of the box, but are just thrown in by sponsors to introduce you to their products. This month we received Nature’s Bounty Hair, Skin & Nails gummys. I’ve been taking them for the last few days and like the flavor.
The total value of everything in the Spring FabFitFun box is: $369. I was absolutely pleased by this box and it may be one of my favorite boxes I’ve ever received from my subscription. Right now, I’m thinking my favorite items are: the Gypsie 05 roundie, the Dr. Brant exfoliator and the cage bracelet.
