Reviewing FabFitFun: The Winter Box Reveal and a $10 Promo Code

I found out about the Winter FabFitFun box spoilers back in November and I have been impatiently waiting for my box ever since! I purposefully upgraded to ‘select member’ back in the Fall just so that I could get the quicker shipping and also have a crack at some item choices… So I was overjoyed when my Winter box was finally delivered last week!

Before we get into the goodies, here is a quick overview of FabFitFun:

Okay, let’s take a look at the Winter 2017 box!

Here’s a closer look at what was in my box:

BB Dakota Poncho, retail $70
First up is the BB Dakota Poncho, which came in three color choices: black, charcoal and mulberry. As a select member, I was able to pick my color and went with the mulberry because I don’t have anything similar. I’ve talked before about how much I love a socially acceptable way to wear a poncho/wrap/blanket, and I’m pretty excited about this one. I’ve already hung it on the back of my home office chair for when I get a little chilly and I’m thinking of trading for a second one to keep in my car. I hate wearing a heavy coat while driving, so this will be the perfect topper!

AHAVA Mineral Hand Cream with Dead Sea Water, retail $33
My hands are always the first thing to get super dried out with cold air, so I was happy to get this tube of hand cream in my box. It is formulated with Dead Sea minerals, witch hazel and allantoin, which is supposed to make it great for restoring suppleness. This is actually a nice, big size… but it’s still going directly into my purse so that I can use it when I’m on the go.

Homemade by Ayesha Curry Mug, retail $18
There were a few mug options and all subscribers received a random choice. Mine is black and white and says “Coming in Hot.” This mug is super cute, but honestly I really don’t need another coffee cup. This one has already been traded on the FabFitFun Facebook boards.

Pointe Studio Aloe Infused Cozy Socks, retail $19
I’ve never tried Aloe-Infused socks before, but it sounds like a great idea to keep my feet from getting all dry and prickly during the winter. This pair is supposed to keep your feet warm and moisturized… and the aloe lasts up to 25 – 30 washes. This is another item that will immediately be added to my work-from-home uniform.

8 OTHER REASONS Nine Lives Choker, retail $58
Annual subscribers were able to choose between rose gold or silver for this choker. It features a micro ball chain and comes pre-layered for a multi-layered look. I picked rose gold, but wasn’t sure if I would like it since I’m not really a choker person. This is another item that I might end up trading away.

Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment, retail $75
I love using a good exfoliator and have been religiously using the Dr Brandt from a previous FabFitFun box. This one is supposed to ‘dramatically smooth skin with both physical and chemical exfoliation, improve overall skin texture, reduce the appearance of pores, and turn back the clock on some of those fine lines and wrinkles.” So yeah, that sounds pretty good… let’s do it!

This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray, retail $29
Subscribers were given a “Wellness Boost” choice between this Deep Sleep Pillow Spray and a Fitness Ball. The fitness ball seemed a bit cheap, so I went for the spray. The spray is said to help reduce sleep associated anxiety and improve sleep quality. It has a This Works natural award-winning signature blend of lavender, vetiver, and chamomile to work together to calm both the body and mind. I’ve never tried a sleep spray before, but I figure now is a great time to try it out. Who doesn’t want better sleep?

Nelson j Beverly Hills Moisture Healing Mask, retail $23
Our second boost choice was for a “Beauty Boost” and we chose between this moisturizing hair mask or 8 Anti-Wrinkle + Energizing Eye Masks. I’ve used a few eye masks before and wasn’t impressed, so I went with the hair mask. I’ve been styling my hair wavy with sea salt spray, so any extra bit of moisturizing is great. I’ll keep you posted on how this feels once I use it!

DOUCCE Freematic Eyeshadow Pro Palette, retail $70
Okay, first of all… do people actually pay $70 for a pack of eye shadow?!? I’m pretty easy on my eye makeup and just stick with eyeliner, a chubby Clinique color stick and mascara… so I don’t have any use for this palette. This one will certainly be added to my “to trade” pile.

I really like this Winter box and it came at the perfect time for the holidays! I’m pretty excited about most of the items, especially the poncho and cozy socks. The items that aren’t a hit for me are the coffee mug, the eye shadow palette and possibly the rose gold choker. The total value of everything in the Winter FabFitFun box is $395, which is even more than last season’s box!
