The end of August to beginning of September is always a weird time for my closet. In my mind, I’m like ‘bring on the pumpkin spice lattes and scarves!’ but in reality the Maryland is still holding onto summer weather until almost October.
Each year when the weather suddenly does its change into Fall, I wish I had gotten one last wear before packing away my summer dresses and skirts. So, this year I decided to be more proactive.
I went through my closet and gathered together all the clothes that scream summer. This included anything in a super lightweight fabric or those candy-colored dresses that only look good with bare legs and sandals.
I hung those summery items right in the front of my closet so that they are the first things I see.
The next few weeks will be my last hurrah of my summer clothes before they get packed away until next year. This gives me the opportunity to shop my own closet to enjoy my warm-weather clothes, as well as a chance to pull out those items I don’t really love anymore and get rid of them (Selling Clothes: Where, How and What).
Hopefully this year when fall weather finally arrives I’ll be ready… with my scarf around my neck and my latte in my hand!
Do you give your summer clothes a last hurrah?
No,but that is such a good idea!Thanks.
