Make Up For Ever Smoky Extravagant Mascara
I’m super picky about my mascaras and get really frustrated because I find that most of them get all clumpy. I tried this one a few months ago and it is my absolute favorite – it has a cone-shaped brush which helps it go on easily and cover each individual lash, it doesn’t clump and lasts all day long without flaking off. I like buying the travel-sized version so that you use it before it expires. You can find it here at Sephora.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream All-Over Miracle Oil
My #GalSquad friends sent me this oil as my January treat and I’m super impressed. I used Coconut Oil to keep my super dry skin smooth all winter long, but now that the weather is heating up it seems like overkill.

This All-Over Miracle Oil goes on super light, but still keeps my skin moisturized all day long (without feeling greasy). It also has a really nice light floral fragrance that I love. According to the instructions, you can use this on pretty much every part of your body, but I use it for an all-over body moisturizer and I also put a little on the ends of my hair when I let it air-dry.

Contacts + Glasses Case
glasses caseI first saw this case like 20 years ago in one of those SkyMall magazines and KNEW I had to have one.

I’ve been wearing contacts since I was 10 years old and my purse has always been cluttered with a glasses case, my contacts case, a mirror and various bottles of saline and cleaner. This cool case holds everything neatly inside and I’ve bought a new one every 5 years or so when they inevitably get super dirty or the spring that holds them together breaks. Loving Right Now: Jessica Jones

If you follow me on Facebook you know that I’ve been binge watching a new show on Netflix, Jessica Jones. Well, I recently finished and I cannot get over how AWESOME it was. I’m actually thinking of watching it all over again to see things I may have missed the first time.

So if I’m loving it, you know darn well I’m going to share it with you all!

The best part is that it just renewed for a second season, so there will be more. YAY!

Coleman Hell – 2 Heads

Oh my gosh, I have such a crush on this guy! He’s handsome + has an amazing voice + the song is so catchy that I’ve been listening to it on repeat = SWOON. Now if he could only go on tour in my neck of the woods so that would totally make my day. However, if he looked at me while singing, it’s quite possible I’d drool on myself.

Coconut Oil


I have an issue with dry skin year-round, but in the winter I always need to up my moisturizer game. I’ve read a lot about Coconut Oil so I decided to try it out for myself. I ordered the Nature’s Way Extra Virgin Organic Coconut Oil off of Amazon (here’s a link to the exact one I bought but I’ve totally seen it at my local grocery store too) a few weeks ago and I’ve been using it ever since.

There are basically a million ways you can use coconut oil – including as a make-up remover, conditioner, shaving cream, daily supplement, etc – but I use it as an after shower skin moisturizer. Once I towel off, I scrape out a bit of the solid oil with my fingernail and warm it between my palms for a few seconds until it turns into a liquid. Then I just smear it all over and rub it in. It smells great, soaks in well and keeps my skin silky smooth all day long. At the end of the day after I remove my makeup, I also apply a little to any dry spots on my face (typically my forehead and the wrinkly area under my eyes) and they are as smooth as a baby’s bottom within a few seconds. I paid about $16 for a huge container and I’m sure that it will last me AT LEAST until next year.

The Imitation Series by Heather Hildenbrand
My Kindle Unlimited subscription is still going strong (full review here) and I’ve been reading lots and lots of books to take full advantage of it! I recently read the Imitation Series and really enjoyed it. All three books are out now, so you can read the entire series without waiting for an ending to be published.

The premise of the books is that Ven is a clone of Raven, a girl who she was created to serve (to replace a dead Authentic, donate an organ or complete a specific mission). When she is called on to pose as Raven she begins to question everything she’s ever been told.

Generation

I have the admit, I was really annoyed with the cliffhangers on the first and second book, but now that all three of them are available just commit to the entire ride and you’ll love it!
